The Chance to Carry for Another

Sometimes God gives you just enough light for the next step....

And sometimes He sends light bearers....

Our new neighborhood is a gift straight from Heaven!  The people are amazing and have welcomed us with love and gifts....

That special one next door, wo had dinner for us the night the movers came.  She and her husband listened with appropriate shock over that dinner of how the moving company only delivered half of our household.  That neighbor also made sure my girls had pumpkins to carve for Halloween.

They have loved us when we are close to our ugliest...both from unpacking and organizing and to the strain that moving places on a family.. They took us as we came....Next door neighbors, across the street neighbors, fellow homeschool moms that we meet in the store aisle.

They are a shelter in a storm.  They are water from the well after a walk in the desert.

The last two years have been a struggle, with a ton of growth and a lot of tears...

And we know that: Isaiah 42:16
I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them.

WE have no clue why we are here....and we are thankful... it is a long journey, these last few years, Many close to us do not see the struggle, they see hotel living and new and maybe vacation...which is not what it is at all...We place one foot in front of the other and are thankful for what we have found here.

Plus there is Sweet Tea!!

Feeling Alone??

It is often seen as failure, to be alone.  Like a character flaw or a problem with self.

I am lucky, I can often feel alone in a crowded hotel room filled with our family and pets, as we await moving in to our new home.
I am lucky, because God is working and changing me,, and He can only do that if I am alone...even in a crowded room.
